Christine Klema Palmer is a Board-Certified Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (ANCC). Practitioner Palmer attended Youngstown State University (Youngstown Ohio) for her undergraduate degree, and South University (Savannah Georgia) for her master’s degree.
Christine’s career in healthcare started at University Hospital in Cleveland Ohio, where she worked on a neurological/rehabilitative unit caring for stroke, and brain injury patients. After several years, Christine moved to Raleigh NC where she spent ten plus years at WakeMed Health & Hospitals working a Neuro/Medical Rehabilitation Unit. During her time at WakeMed, she also ventured out, working in surgery, geriatrics, child developmental disorders, and nursing leadership.
In 2017, Christine became a Nurse Practitioner in order to further her beliefs of caring for patients using a holistic approach. Christine’s care for her patients reflect her beliefs of caring for a patient as a whole; mind, body, and spirit.
Christine Currently lives in Benson NC with her husband, three dogs, and one cat. She and her husband are huge animal lovers, enjoy traveling, movies, and house projects. Christine also enjoys collecting antiques and restoring old furniture.
